Mixed Use Development Lonsdale Avenue

Coriolis was retained by the North Vancouver School District to manage conceptual planning and rezoning of a former school site on Lonsdale Avenue to include a new School District administration building and residential development opportunities that generate capital to pay for the administration facility. Coriolis previously helped the Vancouver School Board with a similar project at Broadway and Granville in Vancouver.
Shipyards Redevelopment
North Vancouver, BC
After we completed a land use study and conceptual development plan for the former Versatile Shipyards site in North Vancouver, we were retained by the land owner to manage the Official Community Plan amendment and rezoning process for the site. We achieved rezoning to allow approximately 1,000 residential units, office, hotel, and retail uses. Following rezoning, were also retained to manage the development permit applications and assist with subdivision, servicing, and amenity design approval.
Bridge Studios Rezoning
Burnaby, BC
For Bridge Studios, a major film and television studio located in Burnaby, we managed a rezoning process to permit the construction of a new 30,000 sq.ft. sound stage.
Residential Development Site
University Endowment Lands British Columbia
For the BC provincial government, we managed the rezoning process to allow multifamily residential development on a 1.75 acre site in the University Endowment Lands. We also negotiated a servicing agreement with UBC.
Industrial Facility
Burnaby, BC
We managed the process of obtaining municipal approval for a post-disaster specialized industrial building in Burnaby. This project included securing a Development Permit and negotiating a property exchange.

Commercial and Residential OCP Amendment

On behalf of an institutional land owner in Salmon Arm, we managed the process of amending the OCP designation of a large downtown site from institutional to residential and commercial.
